Make a Difference as a Mentor – Cork Volunteers Wanted.
Do you a 2-3 hours per week spare to be a Mentor to a teenager or parent experiencing difficulties, helping them to make positive changes in their lives?
Le Chéile in Cork are looking for men and women to volunteer to mentor a young person, with volunteering opportunities available in both Cork city and county.
Our youth mentors meet a teenager once a week and support them in making positive life choices. Activities include; visits to the cinema, eating out, snooker, evening classes, or simply chatting and guiding them with issues affecting their lives.
Our parent mentors support a parent through a very difficult period in their life and help them to make positive changes in their family.
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Volunteering is flexible and can take place any time during the week.
Cork Volunteer Information Evening
Le Chéile Cork will be holding an information evening at 6.30pm on 9th March in St. Nicholas Church, Cove Street, Cork for volunteers interested in hearing more about our work. Our mentor co-ordinators will be available at this session to answer any queries people may have. We are particularly interested in hearing from people living in North Cork and West Cork as we cover areas up to Charleville in the North and Schull in the West.
