Become a Mentor in Laois, Offaly & Kildare
Our Midlands Project has exciting volunteering opportunities for people in Kildare, Laois and Offaly. We’re looking for men and women to volunteer as Mentors to young people in these counties offering friendship, support and guidance. Mentoring involves meeting a young person for a few hours every week for an activity such as playing snooker or pool, going to the cinema, doing a hobby/course with them, or just talking with them about issues in their lives.
The project is also looking for volunteers to act as Parent Mentors, who can help a parent through a difficult period in their life and help them to make positive changes in their home.
Volunteering is flexible and can take place during the week, evenings or weekends in your local area. Activity costs are covered.
Mentors come from all walks of life and no experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Why not make a difference in the life of a young person in 2014?
Closing Date for this Recruitment: Monday, 24th February 2014.
