Could you help a vulnerable teen in Dublin?

Le Chéile is recruiting volunteers to work with teens and families involved with Young Person’s Probation.

We are looking to train up men and women to become Mentors.

As a Le Chéile mentor you will:

  • Learn everything you need at our induction training.
  • Further develop your skills at 3-4 ongoing training sessions a year.
  • Be fully support at our regular group supervision sessions
  • Meet new people
  • Have an opportunity to work one to one with a young person or parent.


What do our Mentors do?

  • A Le Chéile Youth Mentor meets a teenager for 2-3 hours a week and supports them in making positive life choices. Activities could include; cinema, eating out, snooker, evening classes, etc. or simply chatting and guiding them with issues affecting their lives. All activity costs & will be covered.


  • As a Parent Mentor you can help a parent through a very difficult period in their life and help them to make positive changes in their family.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

Volunteering is flexible and can take place during the week, evenings or weekends.
