IIRP’s ‘Training of Trainers’ for Restorative Practice

The International Institute of Restorative Practice’s ‘Training of Trainers’ course took place in Limerick 29th July to 2nd August.

Alan Quinn, Le Chéile’s Limerick Co-ordinator, has now been trained to train others in the Limerick City in Restorative Practices. This initiative is being spearheaded by the Children Services Committee to embed Restorative Practice in Limerick City. Alan will join a pool of IIRP trainers across Limerick City and is now trained to facilitate circles training, one day introduction to RP and also facilitator’s skills training.

Alan will be a great addition to Le Chéile’s current group off accredited trainers, Sean Kinahan, Mary Henihan, Claire Carroll and Marie Kennedy.

Mary Henihan was also up-skilled by the IIRP to run ‘Train the Trainer’ courses and is looking forward to the next few months to see RP training being rolled out in the community, schools and agencies across Limerick.
