Information for Volunteers

A Parent Mentor is a member of the community who gives their time on a voluntary unpaid basis to Le Chéile. We are looking for men & women from all walks of life who are over 25 years of age and usually parents themselves. We do not expect them to have any specific qualifications as training will be provided.

Once matched, you will meet your mentee once a week for up to three hours. You both agree when and where it is easiest for you to meet. You will be supported by a co-ordinator through individual support and group case supervision. In addition Mentors attend regular and ongoing training.
