Le Chéile’s Limerick project appeared int this week’s Limerick Post.  The article looked at what’s invovled in being a mentor with Le Chéile and the benefits of volunteering for both the mentor and mentee.

Limerick is currently looking for men and women aged over 20 to act as volunteer mentors.  Being a Mentor involves supporting a young person involved with the Probation Service or their parent, and can include trying new activities and hobbies as well as assisting with practical goals such as accessing training or education.Mentors come from all walks of life and and often have no previous experience, just a genuine interest in working with people.  All training is provided and full support is provided to our volunteers.
