Volunteering Opportunity – Cork office
Le Cheile Mentoring & Youth Justice Support Services is looking for a volunteer office administrator to join our Cork Project, based at Saint Patricks Hill, Cork City.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to work on their own initiative. Some previous administrative experience is preferable but not essential and good computer skills are needed. The suitable candidate must be enthusiastic, friendly, reliable and trustworthy.
Applicants must supply suitable character references and if successful, complete a Garda vetting application form.
In this position, your duties will include:
- Providing varied general office administration support
- Processing volunteer expenses
- Event organisation
- Researching activities, courses and other information as required.
- Assisting with Recruitment and Training.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in all areas of the projects work. They will gain an understanding of youth justice and family support and also valuable experience in a community based office environment. This position may be of interest to those seeking experience in a justice, youth or community based setting. We provide a full induction and volunteers will also have many opportunities throughout their time with Le Chéile for training and up-skilling.
We are looking for a commitment of at least one year, working 1 day per week or two mornings /afternoons. Hours are flexible and negotiable. Completed application forms can be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to:
