Monday 21 November 1-2.30pm: Online Seminar ‘Bringing People into Meaningful Dialogue’. 

As part of Restorative Justice week 2022, Join Janine Carroll from Restorative Now for an interactive seminar on the subject of Restorative Practices and how simple practices can effectively bring people into meaningful dialogue.

Wednesday 23 November 12.30-2pm:Screening of ‘The Meeting’ and Q&A with Ailbhe Griffith

Venue: Vue cinema, Unit 7-9, Ennis Road Retail Centre, Ennis Road, Limerick.

Join us for the screening of The Meeting at VUE cinema. The Meeting is a compelling drama based on the story of a real-life meeting between a young Irish sexual assault victim and her attacker after his release from prison. During an intense, meticulously prepared encounter, she finally gets answers to questions which would haunt and hurt her for the rest of her days. Facing the very source of her fear with magnificent courage and grace she transforms it. Written and directed by Alan Gilsenan.

Thursday 24 November 10-12pm: The Voice of the Victim – Restorative Justice Panel 

Venue: Southill Hub, O’Malley Park, Limerick

Join us as Le Cheile hosts a panel event with guest speakers presenting on the subject of  the voice of the  victim and how important it is to put their voice to the forefront when harm has been caused. Guest speakers include Michelle Puckhaber from the Crime Victims Helpline, Ollie Kennedy from an Gardai Siochana, Elaine Slattery from Ceim ar Ceim, and a Le Cheile Mentor. Refreshments will be served.

Friday 25 November 11-1pm: Screening and Exhibition on the Benefits of Restorative Justice 

Join us for the first public screening of the new informative Le Cheile video production about the benefits of Restorative Conferencing for victims of crime. Before the film is screened there will be an exhibition of art pieces produced by young people who have committed an offence as an act of reparation for the victims of their offences. Joe Power, Limerick Restorative Practices Project will present on his experience of Restorative Practices in a variety of contexts. This will be followed by a Le Cheile presentation about Restorative Conferences.
