Every year, on the 3rd week of November, it is Restorative Justice Week! (#RJWeek) During this international campaign, organisations like us working in the field of restorative justice hold a series of events to raise awareness about restorative justice. This year we are planning a one day celebration under the theme Stories of Restoration.
If you are in Limerick on Friday 24th November, please join us in the Pavillion in UL for an interesting day of speakers and workshops.
Guests include Dr. Sharon Lambert, UCC who will discuss Restorative Practices from an academic perspective and a keynote address from Janine Carrol, Director of Restorative Now.
We will also have a personal story of restoration which will be shared by Ailbhe Griffith, who is an advocate for restorative justice. Elaine Slattery and Joe Power will share stories of restoration from an education context.
Le Chéile’s work on restorative justice through Victim Impact Panels will be showcased and there will be informative workshops led by Janine and Joe on the day
