dlr Community and Volunteer Awards 2024 Winner

We are delighted to announce that our volunteer Donncha O’Donnchadha is the winner of a dlr Volunteer and Community Award. Donncha was the volunteer winner in the category Child/Youth Development & Education. The Awards brought together community groups and volunteers and provided an opportunity for the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to recognise and celebrate the number of people and projects across our county which all contribute to make this a vibrant place to live. Donncha has been mentoring with Le Chéile over the past 10 years, his commitment and willingness to go above and beyond for the young people he works with and for Le Chéile is greatly appreciated. Congratulations Donncha from all of us in Le Chéile, thank you for your dedication and continued support!

The awards saw 61 community groups and 54 volunteers formally acknowledged and celebrated for their positive contributions to community life across the County; together they promote a wealth of community development activities in different areas including child and youth development, age friendly, arts and culture, environment and climate action, inclusion and integration, health and wellbeing, disability and neurodiversity and civic pride.
