This month we hosted the first of our 2023 National Volunteer Committee (NVC) Meetings. The NVC is a forum to reflect the voice, interests and ideas of volunteers in the decision making process and governance of Le Chéile.

Two volunteers from each of our regions make up the committee and they were joined by our CEO, Anne Conroy and our National Volunteer Coordinator Maxine Kelly. Chaired by our NVC Chair, Debra Crawley, this month focused on planning the theme of our upcoming National Volunteer Conference which takes place later this year.

The NVC plays an important role in the planning of the conference – selecting the theme, the type of workshops and information volunteers may like to see on the day etc. The group also gave regional updates about what is happening in their region.

The next meeting will take play in May.
