Le Chéile awarded Quality in Mentoring Award

Le Chéile is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Quality in Mentoring (QiM) award from Befriending Networks. Befriending Networks is a network for Befriending and Mentoring organisations in the UK and Ireland.

The Quality in Mentoring award is a benchmark for organisations to independently assess the mentoring practice and certify that programmes are operating in a safe, effective manner and to a high quality.

We received excellent feedback from the assessment and are proud to have showcased our commitment to supporting young people and their families.

Speaking about the award, the QiM assessor commented:

“The organisation very much excels in participation and involving all stakeholders in the development of the organisation.  The interviews showcase that young people and volunteers feel listened to, have choice, and feel welcome in the organisation. The support for volunteers is outstanding and it was great hearing about the national volunteer committee.”

We are extremely grateful to have achieved this award and found the experience reflective and stimulating. The award has given Le Chéile great recommendations to improve our service and ensure that it is operating to a high standard.

Over the next few months, we will be working toward achieving the Excellence in Mentoring award.
