Last week our colleagues joined many other CBO’s funded by the Probation Service to take part in the first ever networking and learning event for organisations working with people who have experience of the justice system.  Speakers on the day included Mark Wilson, Director of the Probation Service, Minister for Justice Simon Harris, Minister of State James Browne as well as presentations from CBO’s across Ireland such as Saol, Cork Alliance and the Solas Project.

The focus of the summit was to promote and encourage more collaboration between the Provation Service and CBO’s. This is something that Le Cheile fully endorses and welcomes. This theme was really enhanced by the many opportunities to network with other CBO’s and Probation Staff both informally on breaks and more formally through the workshop sessions.
